Rich web experiences require data to support them. It is crucial to design a data repository to drive web marketing and business opportunities. Powerful, open-source database systems are available to create these systems at little cost to the consumer. Most websites require database technology. As part of my web experience I have designed, managed and updated several forms of web database solutions. MySQL, Oracle and others all require an understanding of database structure and optimization (or normalization). Knowing the best solutions is key to developing a robust data set that will meet all of today's and tomorrow's needs. |
